Parkway is nearing completion and will be open to traffic this fall.
This $8.5 million, 2.5 mile three lane facility will provide direct
connection from Main Street to Jasper Road in east Springfield. The
project certainly has had its share of issues in dealing with scope,
schedule and budget during its long history, yet is considered a major
success story by all of the stakeholders.

About the PresenterDavid L. Brown, P.L.S. Dave Brown is a
Professional Land Surveyor, with over 30 years of experience in the
engineering, surveying and construction industry. He has worked for
Lane County Public Works for the past 7 years and is the County’s
Construction Services Manager. In his capacity he serves as the
construction project manager for all contracted road construction
projects. Dave has a wide variety of experience in project delivery and
has spent approximately half of his career as a consultant in the
private sector and the other half working in the public sector. One of
Dave’s most recent projects was the construction of the awarding
winning Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway and Roundabout serving Peace
Health’s new RiverBend Medical Center in Springfield. |
