Newsletter

PMI Willamette Valley has decided to resume publishing a Chapter Newsletter for the Salem, Eugene, and Corvallis Branches (click the link to read the Fall 2009 edition). We will be publishing one every quarter, instead of monthly like we used to do in the past.

Please provide us with feedback on the newsletter. Does the frequency sound good? How do you prefer it to be delivered/posted? What content or articles would you like to see?

If you are interested, submit an article and we will submit it for publication.

You are welcome to email Jon Lazarus at jmlazarus@aol.com, or the link in the Officers' table above, with feedback on this issue.

Pre-registration & Credit Card Payment for Events

Note: The registration link changed in October.

Please pre-register here by the second Friday of the month, before the meeting (third Wednesday of the month) so we are able to order and have the meals catered. You may pre-register and pay at the door, or pay with a credit card (using a PayPal service). Pre-registered attendees are guaranteed a seat and a meal.

If you do not pre-register, you will be accommodated on a space available basis. If there is not enough food to provide you with a meal, you will be charged $12 for the program (you may purchase food downstairs at the grocery store).

    Advisory Board to DOJ project

    Topic Information Update -

Have you ever been interested to be apart of a committee advising a project with your project management experience? That's the opportunity presented here! PMIWV and the DOJ (Department of Justice) have a project which is grant funded and is looking for certified PMP's to act as an advisory board to help the project and project team.

A team of 4-5 people have been selected and the advisory board will start meeting in August 2010.

You are welcome to contact Jon Lazarus at jmlazarus@aol.com, or the link in the Officers' table above, with questions of suggestions.

    Thank you.

We need your help - PMIWV needs your LEADERSHIP to serve on the Salem Branch Board!!

The search for candidates and suggestions for 2010/11 President and VP of Professional Development begins this month. Although most positions have encumbants, we welcome anyone with interest to come forward and run for any of the Board positions. The election process has a committee in place to help and evaluate prospective members.

If you know someone you believe would be good to get involved in our branch or someone that would like to run for any of the VP positions, please do not hesistate to contact us.

Clyde Raymer Jr is leading this election effort, which will primarily be done via email. Any of the board members would welcome you contacting them and discussing the positions further.
