Earned Value Analysis -- Free Webinar

posted Apr 9, 2010 12:23 PM by Jack Doyle

Friday at Noon EST, April 30th, 2010
http://tinyurl.com/yykmpjv

9:00 am Pacific Time

This is a 1 hour seminar.

Seminar Description:

According to the Standish Group, companies lost over $38 billion in value of projects done in 2002, and I’m afraid things aren’t much better in 2010.  What’s even more amazing is that when you probe to truly understand how a project is doing, most PM’s can’t really tell you.  They might be able to say if the project will meet the due date, but have no clue if spend is according to budget or if all the planned work is really getting done.  This never ceases to amaze me that extremely profitable organizations aren’t using the tools available to really understand the health of their multi-million dollar projects.

In this workshop, we focus on what earned value analysis is, what it can and can’t do, and what it takes to make it work.

Topics include:

    * Earned value terminology
    * Earned value calculations
    * Methods of earning value
    * Using earned value to predict project success

We’ll look at earned value from both a mathematical and practical approach using simple examples to drive home the key concepts.

Seminar Presenter:

Mary Repetto's passion lies in the areas of strategic planning, project management and sales consulting, where she leverages twenty five years of experience working with and for Fortune 500 companies in North America, Europe, South America and Asia.  Her extensive consulting and training experience is why she is able to command the respect and attention of audiences and session participants worldwide.  Mary’s enthusiasm is exhaustive and contagious.  She holds degrees in Marketing, Business Administration (MBA in Finance), and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management.  Mary holds the PMP certification from PMI as well as the CBAP certification from IIBA and a Six Sigma Greenbelt.  She delivers training both in the classroom and virtually via a variety of tools.
